Role Summary

The Staff Level Product Engineer for Software Defined Radio will be a technical leader responsible for developing advanced electronic systems and components at Analog Devices. This role involves driving innovation in design methodologies and testing approaches, influencing product strategy, and mentoring engineering teams.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

  • Evaluation and characterization of RF systems and components.
  • Debugging and analyzing complex mixed-signal and RF systems.
  • Verification and release of embedded software for mixed-signal products.
  • Conducting lab testing of RF measurements and formulating test plans.
  • Developing and automating test solutions using Python, MATLAB, and LabVIEW.
  • Collaborating with design, test, application, and software teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Interfacing with applications/marketing and customers to resolve product issues.
  • Mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

Qualifications include:

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in complex wireless platforms.
  • Proven expertise in automating RF tests and familiarity with advanced lab equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of analog and RF circuits, high-speed interfaces, and mixed-signal systems.
  • Experience with digital and DSP concepts.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal.

Education Requirements

BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
