Role Summary
The Staff Engineer, System Validation will be a key member of the system validation team responsible for validating highly integrated solutions and products. This role involves driving revenue growth on next-generation products across multiple business units.
Experience Level
Experienced; 8+ years of industry experience in Digital Pre Silicon verification or validation.
Responsibilities
The engineer will be responsible for the following:
- Lead Pre Silicon validation for complex SoC.
- Define validation plans, tests, and verification/validation methodology for chip-level.
- Collaborate with design, architecture, applications, and software teams in generating and reviewing validation plans.
- Manage the release process of various collaterals to the software team.
- Develop and maintain validation platforms such as emulation and FPGA.
- Create system-level use case scenarios, coding, validation, and sign-off through available platforms.
- Innovate solutions to meet deliverable schedules.
- Develop system validation strategy based on product requirements and design specifications.
- Model external components for use case validation purpose.
- Act as a bridge between hardware and software teams.
- Automate workflows.
Requirements
Must-have skills include:
- B.Tech/M.Tech in a relevant field.
- 8+ years of experience in digital pre-silicon verification or validation.
- Strong understanding of SoC/subsystem design concepts and architectures.
- Hands-on experience in UVM and C++ based methodologies.
- Experience using emulators or FPGA.
- Strong hardware debug skills and knowledge in AMBA protocols.
- Familiarity with software toolchains and ARM based processors.
Nice-to-have skills include:
- Knowledge of modeling tools like Matlab.
- Understanding of various application-specific algorithms.
- Experience in analyzing system performance.
- Familiarity with microprocessor cores such as ARM, RISC-V, and Neural Networks.
Education Requirements
B.Tech/M.Tech in a relevant field.
