Role Summary

As a Staff Engineer specializing in Physical Design, you will be responsible for developing and implementing physical design methodologies and solutions for complex SoC designs. This role requires a deep understanding of the design flow and an ability to use various EDA tools effectively to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the physical design process from synthesis to place & route, optimization, and sign-off.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design specifications and ensure project milestones are met.
• Optimize designs for area, performance, and power while adhering to strict timelines.
• Evaluate and implement new tools and methodologies to enhance the physical design process.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to improve team performance.

Requirements

Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in physical design and verification. A strong background in EDA tools such as Cadence and Synopsys, along with proficient knowledge of digital design principles, is necessary.

Education Requirements

A bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.
