Staff Engineer, Digital Design
Role Summary
In this role, you will lead the design and development of advanced integrated circuits for Renesas MCU products. You will be responsible for RTL design efforts, mentoring junior engineers, and enhancing design methodologies to meet specific market needs in India.
Experience Level
Senior-level, with a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in digital IC/ASIC design.
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities include:
- Leading RTL design and development of complex IPs and subsystems within MCU SoCs.
- Driving micro-architecture definition and high-level digital design for assigned blocks.
- Supporting SoC integration and delivering high-quality documentation to related teams.
- Owning design quality checks and supporting functional verification.
- Collaborating with system architects and cross-functional teams for seamless integration.
- Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Contributing to continuous improvements in RTL design methodologies.
Requirements
Required qualifications are:
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in digital IC/ASIC design.
- Expertise in RTL design using Verilog/VHDL.
- Solid understanding of digital design principles and verification methodologies.
- Experience with industry-standard EDA tools for synthesis and timing analysis.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience with low-power design techniques.
- Hands-on experience with RTL quality tools like Spyglass.
- Scripting experience in Shell, Perl, or Python.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
