Staff Engineer - ASIC Physical Design

Role Summary

The Staff Engineer for ASIC Physical Design will be responsible for the physical design of complex ASIC projects, ensuring successful implementation and integration. This role involves close collaboration with design and verification teams to meet strict deadlines while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical design, place and route, and design rule checking for ASIC layouts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality designs within timelines.
• Optimize designs for performance, power, and area (PPA).
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Utilize industry tools and methodologies to enhance design processes.

Requirements

Candidates must have a strong background in semiconductor physics and material properties, excellent problem-solving skills, and expertise in design automation tools. Proficiency in scripting languages and a solid understanding of design methodologies is essential.

Education Requirements

A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required, with relevant experience in ASIC physical design.
