Role Summary
The Staff Engineer in ASIC Physical Design will engage in the intricate process of physical design of ASICs, ensuring the optimal setup for chip manufacturing. Responsibilities
- Lead the physical design activities for ASIC projects, focusing on floor planning, place & route, and timing closure.
- Collaborate with design, verification, and product engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of design specifications.
- Utilize EDA tools for ensuring design specifications are met across projects.
- Interface with manufacturing to address any yield and optimization challenges.
- Continuously enhance design methodologies and workflows for improved efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in ASIC physical design.
- Proficient with modern EDA tools and a deep understanding of deep submicron technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to work independently and in team settings.
