Role Summary
As a Staff Engineer in Arm's Solutions Engineering group, you will focus on the implementation and optimization of sophisticated CPUs, GPUs, and SoCs. You will be a key contributor to the evolution of chip design techniques, developing methodologies to enhance the performance and efficiency of Arm's products.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the design team to define design intent and timing constraints necessary for implementation.
- Perform synthesis, physical design, and implementation of CPU and GPU cores, system interconnects, and other Arm IP within SoCs.
- Analyze design timing, area, and power to enhance the quality of Arm IP.
- Develop and deploy new methodologies aimed at improving implementation efficiency.
- Support detailed implementation analyses and develop data-mining methodologies.
- Work with RTL design teams to drive analysis and optimization initiatives.
- Transform R&D concepts into viable implementation solutions.
- Assist partners in achieving optimal quality of results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other relevant fields.
- 7+ years of experience in ASIC implementation including synthesis, timing constraints, physical design, and timing closure.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate new insights effectively and possess strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience in silicon implementation techniques and promoting them across international teams.
- Proficiency across the entire IC design flow from RTL to GDS2, with scripting abilities in languages such as Tcl, Perl, or shell scripting.
