Staff Engagement Applications Engineer

Role Summary

Join Synopsys as a Staff Engagement Applications Engineer, where you will leverage your expertise in synthesis and place and route (P&R) to enhance product development in cutting-edge technology. You will be integral to optimizing high-performance CPU/GPU/NPU designs, providing critical support to customers globally, and leading initiatives that propel Synopsys technologies to new heights.

Experience Level

This position requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the semiconductor industry, particularly in design and EDA tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with R&D to drive advanced high-performance computing reference flows.
• Showcase differentiated performance, power, and area (PPA) results on advanced CPU/GPU/NPU cores.
• Provide technical support to global customers to tackle PPA issues.
• Engage in benchmarks and ensure superior design quality and performance.
• Utilize scripting languages, such as Perl and Tcl, for automation.
• Stay current with advancements in ASIC design and VLSI technologies.

Requirements

A strong background in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is necessary, with hands-on experience in synthesis and P&R tools. Proficiency with EDA tools (DC, ICC2, Fusion Compiler) and knowledge of ASIC design flow is also critical. The candidate should be highly motivated and possess excellent communication skills in English.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is required for this position.
