Role Summary

The Staff Emulation Engineer at Arm will own and enhance emulation environments for next-generation processors and SoCs. This role ensures scalability and performance while collaborating with multiple teams to improve workflow and deployment of emulation tools.

Senior level, requiring over 8 years of practical experience.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include:

  • Ownership and evolution of emulation environments.
  • Driving adoption of emulation methodologies to enhance software bring-up and system validation.
  • Improving reliability and throughput in complex system-level problems.
  • Collaboration with EDA partners to influence tool improvements and roadmaps.

Requirements

Must-have skills and qualifications include:

  • A degree or equivalent practical experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Proven experience with emulation platforms such as ZeBu, Palladium, or Strato.
  • Strong understanding of verification and system-level debug methodologies.
  • Experience in RTL design (SystemVerilog/Verilog) and UVM-based environments.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Perl, or similar.
  • Ability to resolve complex technical problems independently.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Desirable skills include experience debugging complex emulation failures and working with EDA vendors.

Education Requirements

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
