Role Summary

Join the PrimeLib R&D team in Bengaluru to design and implement timing, power, and noise model generation for standard cell libraries. The role focuses on building scalable, high-performance software that processes large SPICE datasets across multi-threaded and distributed compute environments.

Work closely with product engineering, validation, and customer support to reproduce corner cases, diagnose field issues, and deliver production-quality fixes that improve characterization speed and accuracy.

Experience Level

Responsibilities

Primary duties for this role.

• Design and develop core PrimeLib features for timing, power, and noise model generation across process, voltage, and temperature conditions.
• Build and optimize multi-threaded and distributed workflows to process large SPICE simulation datasets.
• Drive performance improvements in characterization runtimes and memory usage at scale.
• Use AI-assisted development tools and LLMs to accelerate development, refactor code safely, and prototype algorithms.
• Collaborate with validation and support teams to reproduce corner cases and deliver robust, production-ready fixes.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and relevant experience; nice-to-have items listed at the end.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong C++ experience for performance-critical systems.
• Proficient in Python for scripting and automation.
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design for large, long-lived codebases.
• Experience working in Linux/Unix environments, including build systems and debugging tools.
• Nice-to-have: hands-on experience with standard cell library development or characterization flows.
• Nice-to-have: familiarity with SPICE simulation, process design kits, timing/power modeling, or distributed compute farms.
• Nice-to-have: demonstrated use of AI-powered developer tools or LLMs to improve coding productivity.

Education Requirements
