Role Summary

The Staff Digital Design Engineer will focus on circuit power optimization for high-speed SerDes (Serializer/Deserializer) systems. The ideal candidate will work on evaluating and optimizing advanced DSP algorithms and circuits aimed at achieving minimal power consumption.

Experience Level

This position is recommended for experienced engineers with a strong background in digital circuit design and power optimization within advanced process nodes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architects, hardware engineers, and verification teams to refine and implement low power DSP features for SerDes transceivers.
  • Model and evaluate algorithms for power efficiency, focusing on equalization, filtering, and sequence detection.
  • Contribute to RTL development ensuring high-quality code using front-end ASIC tools.
  • Assist verification engineers in creating power test cases.
  • Write detailed documentation outlining power optimization strategies.

Requirements

Candidates must possess the following qualifications: proven experience in power analysis and optimization of digital logic at advanced process nodes, a strong background in digital design techniques with proficiency in RTL (preferably SystemVerilog), and familiarity with ASIC front-end design tools, specifically related to power analysis and simulation.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a closely related field is required.
