Role Summary

The Staff Digital Design Engineer will engage in optimizing high-speed SerDes systems, taking responsibility for advanced DSP algorithms and circuits integration. The candidate will be instrumental in ensuring low power consumption for next-generation connectivity solutions aimed at the data center and wireless communications markets.

Experience Level

This position is suited for applicants with substantial experience in digital design and power optimization within advanced process nodes.

Responsibilities

Key duties include:

  • Collaborating with architects and engineers to enhance low power DSP features for SerDes transceivers.
  • Developing RTL using ASIC tools to maintain high-quality code standards.
  • Creating power test cases alongside verification engineers.
  • Documenting methodologies for power optimization.

Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • A proven track record in power analysis and optimization in digital logic.
  • Strong understanding of digital design practices, primarily in SystemVerilog.
  • Experience with tools such as PowerArtist or PPRTL.
  • Familiarity with ASIC design tools, especially vectored power analysis.
  • Knowledge of equalization techniques like FFE, CTLE, DFE, or MLSE is preferred.

Education Requirements

A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is typically required.
