Staff DFT Engineer

Role Summary

Work on DFT architecture and implementation for complex SoC/ASIC designs, focusing on scan, MBIST, scan compression, boundary scan and low-power DFT. Collaborate with test engineering and RTL teams to develop ATPG/MBIST test benches, perform test coverage and timing analysis, and support production test bring-up.

Position is based in Zhubei, Taiwan within the Engineering department.

Experience Level

Senior — 5+ years of hands-on DFT architecture and implementation experience for SoC/ASIC.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include designing, implementing, and verifying DFT solutions and supporting production test.

• Define and implement hierarchical DFT architecture for complex SoC.
• Design and implement scan structures (stuck-at, at-speed, path-delay), scan compression, and boundary scan.
• Develop and verify MBIST and low-power DFT strategies.
• Create scan ATPG and MBIST test benches and perform pre- and post-layout simulation.
• Perform test coverage and test time analysis; develop timing constraints related to DFT.
• Work with test engineering to support production test program bring-up.
• Collaborate with RTL and timing teams to ensure correct DFT integration.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

• 5+ years hands-on DFT experience for SoC/ASIC.
• Expertise in scan methodologies, scan compression, boundary scan, and MBIST.
• Experience implementing hierarchical DFT in complex SoC and low-power DFT techniques.
• Experience developing scan ATPG and MBIST test benches and conducting pre/post-layout simulation.
• Test coverage and test time analysis experience; strong timing and constraint knowledge.
• Experience collaborating with test engineering to bring up production test programs.
• RTL experience is required.
