Role Summary

The Staff DFT Engineer will own and drive the complete DFT strategy for complex SoCs from architecture through production silicon, requiring deep technical expertise and the ability to lead junior engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Experience Level

Senior - 7+ years of hands-on experience in DFT methodologies.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define DFT architecture at chip and subsystem levels.
  • Drive testability requirements during the RTL design phase.
  • Lead scan insertion, ATPG, and sign-off processes.
  • Support first silicon bring-up and debug issues.
  • Mentor junior and senior DFT engineers.
  • Collaborate with RTL designers and product engineering teams.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience leading DFT teams for SoC execution.
  • Knowledge of logic BIST, ATPG, and DFT methodologies.
  • Strong scripting skills in Perl, Tcl, or Python.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and communication abilities.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a closely related field.
