Job Title

Staff Design Verification Engineer - Network Coherent Interconnect

Role Summary

Lead verification efforts for Arm's Network Coherent Interconnect (NI-700) family. The role focuses on verification architecture, building SystemVerilog/UVM constrained-random environments, RTL debug, and cross-functional collaboration with architects and design teams to qualify interconnect IP for diverse markets.

Experience Level

Senior - staff-level role, typically requires 8+ years of verification and RTL design experience with leadership and mentoring responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Deliver and execute verification plans, build verification infrastructure, and drive closure of verification goals.

  • Define and implement verification strategies and plans for interconnect IP.
  • Design, develop, and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM constrained-random testbenches and verification components.
  • Create directed and randomized tests, coverage models, and assertions; measure and drive coverage closure.
  • Debug RTL, specification, and integration failures; perform root-cause analysis and track fixes.
  • Automate verification workflows and regressions using scripting and tooling.
  • Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, and software teams to resolve issues and validate system behavior.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor junior verification engineers.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and relevant experience.

  • 8+ years of verification or RTL design experience.
  • Experience with multiprocessing microarchitecture, cache coherence, and bus protocols (AMBA5 CHI, AMBA4 ACE, AXI).
  • Proven experience developing and debugging SystemVerilog and UVM constrained-random testbenches.
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals: object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python or Perl for automation and tooling.
  • Formal verification testbench experience is a plus (nice-to-have).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field.
