Staff Design Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced engineer to join the SoC Front-End Design (SOFD) organization. This role focuses on architectural definition, RTL design, and integration of complex subsystems and SoCs used across next-generation products.

Experience Level

10+ years experience in design of complex compute subsystems or SoCs is required.

Responsibilities

As a design engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

• Writing micro-architecture specifications and developing RTL.
• Coordinating with the Architecture team to gather requirements and develop Micro-architecture specifications.
• Collaborating with the verification team to review test plans.
• Working closely with the Power and Performance analysis team.
• Contributing to the enhancement of design methodologies.
• Guiding and supporting team members.
• Working with Project Management on plans and schedules.

Requirements

A Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering is required.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering.

Additional Skills:

• Expertise in creating Micro-architecture and Design specifications.
• Good understanding of digital hardware design and Verilog HDL.
• Experience leading and developing RTL.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience with Perl, Python or other scripting languages.

“Nice To Have” Skills:

• Experience with ARM-based designs.
• Knowledge in synthesis and timing analysis.
