Role Summary

Responsibilities

The Staff Design Engineer will:

• Develop BAW and SAW filtering components for wireless RF applications.
• Assist in defining new products through feasibility studies and technical analyses.
• Design microwave acoustic devices employing various design techniques such as filters and resonators.
• Perform acoustic and electromagnetic simulations using commercial and proprietary tools.
• Collaborate with process engineers and R&D teams on fabrication technologies.
• Evaluate and diagnose products using advanced RF/Microwave test equipment.
• Document product and design information to aid in product transfer to production.
• Contribute to the improvement of design workflows and methodologies.

Requirements

Mandatory qualifications include:

• BSEE with 8 years, MSEE with 5 years, or PhD with 1-2 years of experience.
• Experience in RF circuit design, including antennas, filters, and amplifiers.
• Knowledge of electromagnetic simulation tools like HFSS.
• Skills in layout design, impedance matching, RF device characterization, and system measurements.
• Preferred direct experience in BAW or SAW design.
• Understanding of microelectronic fabrication and statistical process improvement.
• Desirable programming skills in scripting languages and/or Matlab.
• General knowledge of wireless communication standards.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required; advanced degrees are preferred.
