Role Summary

The Arm Security Technology Team is seeking a highly motivated Staff ASIC Front-End Design Engineer to lead the design and development of complex security and compute subsystems for advanced SoC platforms. This role emphasizes front-end EDA methodologies and design PPA (power, performance, area) analysis and optimization, requiring technical leadership and collaboration with architecture and verification teams.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Develop high-quality SystemVerilog/Verilog RTL implementations.
  • Contribute to microarchitecture definition and design trade-off analysis.
  • Ensure designs are synthesis-clean, timing-clean, and structurally robust.
  • Lead front-end design structural check closure.
  • Manage and optimize complex power designs.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience include:

  • Strong understanding of full ASIC flow.
  • Proven experience with ASIC front-end design methodologies.
  • Competency in analyzing and optimizing designs for power, performance, and area (PPA).
  • Solid understanding of SoC architecture concepts.
  • Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Tcl, Perl, or similar.

Nice-to-have skills:

  • Familiarity with multi-power-domain designs.
  • Experience with advanced process nodes and SoC development.
  • Familiarity with formal verification tools.
  • Experience with post-silicon debug and validation.
