Staff Applications Engineer
Role Summary
The Staff Applications Engineer will provide technical and engineering insight to enhance the usability and adoption of Synopsys products for semiconductor clients. The individual will work collaboratively to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, conduct training sessions, and partner with sales teams to develop tailored solutions.
Experience Level
Mid-level; 3 to 5 years of experience in semiconductor front-end design is required.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical support and insights to improve product usability for clients.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to customer installations.
- Conducting training sessions for customers on product usage.
- Analyzing customer feedback to drive product enhancements.
- Collaborating with sales and technical teams to address business challenges and develop solutions.
- Enhancing product utilization and retention through effective support.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience include:
- BTECH + 5 years or MTECH + 3 years in semiconductor front-end design.
- Proficiency in RTL design, logic synthesis, and equivalence checking.
- Familiarity with UPF, Place & Route (PnR), and Design for Test (DFT) is a plus.
- Experience with industry-standard EDA tools.
- Strong communication skills and ability to apply company policies to technical issues.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required.
