Job Title
Staff Analog Engineer
Role Summary
Lead analog design work for CMOS power management integrated circuits, owning complex block designs from feasibility through production ramp. The role partners with applications, test, and verification teams and provides technical leadership and mentorship within the analog team.
Work focuses on design, simulation, layout supervision, lab evaluation, and documentation to meet performance, area, power and schedule targets for power-management products.
Experience Level
Senior level β typically 8 to 12 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
The role's primary responsibilities include technical leadership, hands-on analog block design, and driving designs to production readiness.
- Define system and block-level design strategy from specification to production for power-management products.
- Design, simulate, and supervise layout of CMOS power-management circuits to meet performance, area, and power targets.
- Perform feasibility studies and lead lab evaluation in collaboration with applications engineers and test teams.
- Plan and execute top-level simulation and verification; support DFT strategy and test development for production ramp.
- Produce high-quality documentation for IP blocks and lead methodological improvements to increase design capability.
- Mentor and coach less-experienced engineers; delegate and review design work as needed.
- Participate in customer-facing activities and support RFQ/process tasks when required.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience; concise list of practical requirements. "Advanced training" and generic study references are summarized under Education Requirements below and not repeated here.
- 8+ years of hands-on analog/mixed-signal design experience focused on power-management circuits.
- Proven track record leading complex analog blocks to production.
- Strong skills in analog circuit design, simulation, layout supervision, and top-level verification planning.
- Experience collaborating with lab, applications, and test teams for evaluation and production ramp.
- Ability to document IP, propose innovative solutions, and implement design/flow improvements.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and coordinating multi-site, multicultural teams.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication and presentation skills; able to interact with customers.
- Flexibility to undertake occasional international travel at short notice.
