Role Summary

The Sr. Staff Silicon Design Engineer will work on cutting-edge digital communication systems in a mixed-signal design environment. The position involves the development of RF data converter subsystems and requires collaboration with various design teams to ensure the successful implementation of complex digital solutions.

Experience Level

The ideal candidate is expected to have significant experience in digital design environments, with a focus on modern IC/ASIC design processes, preferably in the range of 8+ years for a BS degree, 7+ years for an MS degree, or 5+ years for a PhD.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities in this role include:

  • Lead front-end digital design efforts including architecture specification, RTL design, and optimization.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams including analog design, verification, and physical design teams.
  • Promote best design practices among team members.
  • Utilize digital design tools for RTL design, verification, CDC checking, and design for low power.
  • Collaborate effectively in a multi-site, interdisciplinary team environment.

Requirements

Candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of SystemVerilog and logic design concepts.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and teamwork in a collaborative environment.
  • Awareness of physical design constraints and flow, including synthesis and place-and-route techniques.

Education Requirements

Minimum educational requirements include a BS degree with 8 years of experience, an MS degree with 7 years of experience, or a PhD with 5 years of relevant experience.
