- Develop, validate, and maintain POR and engineering recipes for assigned RDA toolsets.
- Own application setup and troubleshooting; maintain backup knowledge of secondary tools.
- Track and complete recipe requests; maintain documentation and communicate updates.
- Perform basic and advanced tool recoveries; lead and support software upgrades and tool improvements with vendors and internal teams.
- Establish and monitor SPC charts, analyze tool data, and drive corrective actions and performance improvements.
- Create and update operating procedures; train engineers and technicians on protocols.
- Participate in global tool-sharing forums; follow up on cross-site actions and vendor collaborations for root-cause analysis and audits.
- Maintain vendor communication to track application issues, long-term solutions, and tool readiness.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience to perform the role effectively.
- Minimum 2 years' semiconductor industry experience in defect analysis with hands-on inline defect analysis skills.
- Proven ability to drive issues to root cause using data analysis, troubleshooting, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Experience with recipe development and engineering support for inspection/defect-analysis tools; ability to perform tool recoveries and lead upgrades.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication process flows and process-capability analysis.
- Effective communication and documentation skills; experience coordinating with vendors and multi-functional teams.
- Experience or interest in developing Agentic AI workflows into current or future processes.
Preferred:
- 5+ years in the semiconductor industry, ideally in process development for defect inspection equipment/applications.
- 3+ years in an inspection applications role with advanced recipe-writing experience; preference for KLA/AMAT toolsets.
- Experience driving cross-site alignment or global BKM sharing for inspection applications and delivering technical presentations.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or a related field.
