Senior Principal Program Manager

Role Summary

Lead delivery of next-generation optical engines and subsystems within the Cloud Optics organization, managing programs from concept through production ramp. Coordinate cross-functional teams (photonics, analog, packaging, test, qualification, supply, finance) to meet technical and business objectives.

High-visibility role responsible for schedule, material readiness, risk mitigation, and executive reporting for optical connectivity solutions used in cloud and AI data centers.

Experience Level

Senior — preferred 15+ years industry experience (10+ with a Master’s, 8+ with a PhD). Requires 8+ years of project/program management experience in the semiconductor industry.

Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end program execution and align cross-functional teams to deliver optical products on time, on budget, and on spec.

  • Lead program planning, tracking, and execution for a portfolio of optical solutions from concept to production ramp.
  • Translate design specifications into producible products and define milestones for test, reliability, customer sampling, and production acceptance.
  • Coordinate and deconflict multiple concurrent workstreams across engineering, packaging, DVT, qualification, supply, and finance.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks; drive issue resolution and escalate when necessary.
  • Provide structured communication and reporting to engineering, operations, and executive stakeholders.
  • Drive readiness of schedules, materials, and operational priorities; support validation and customer support activities.

Requirements

Must-have technical and program management experience relevant to semiconductor optical systems.

  • Significant experience managing complex semiconductor programs, including silicon subsystems and optical engines.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent development efforts and to make strategic tradeoffs among schedule, quality, and cost.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management.
  • Demonstrated risk identification, analysis, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience interfacing with executive leadership and corporate program management offices.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is listed. Master’s or PhD is preferred (posting notes preferred 15+ years overall, or 10+ with a Master’s, or 8+ with a PhD). No specific certifications are required or mentioned.
