Sr Principal Product Engineer – Memory IP

Role Summary

The Sr Principal Product Engineer for Memory IP will work within Cadence's IP team, focusing on the development and support of high-performance memory IP solutions. This role involves post-silicon bring-up, debug, and production ramp for advanced memory technologies, engaging with leading technology companies.

Experience Level

Senior level, requiring a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience in electrical/computer engineering.

Responsibilities

The role includes the following key responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary technical contact for post-silicon bring-up and debug of Memory IP subsystems.
• Support customer SOC and system integration, including ATE deployment and production ramp.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical issues.
• Participate in evaluations, demos, and onsite bring-up for customers with approximately 10% travel.
• Provide integration training and recommendations to customers.
• Analyze and resolve complex subsystem application or implementation issues.
• Contribute to documentation and collateral improvements for customer experience.
• Leverage AI-powered tools and analytics for productivity and insights.

Requirements

Qualifications include:

• M.S. in Electrical/Computer Engineering or similar with 7+ years of experience, or Ph.D. with 5+ years of experience.
• Strong post-silicon bring-up and debug background.
• Experience with DDR and other memory technologies.
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment for debugging.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field, with relevant experience.
