Sr. Principal Foundry Engineer – Logic/RF Device Expert

Role Summary

Lead foundry engagement for advanced-node logic and RF device technology ramp-up and process transfers to ensure manufacturability, yield, and performance targets. Member of the APAC Central Competence Team partnering with external foundries, internal technology teams, and business lines.

Experience Level

Senior-level role. The position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in semiconductor device engineering with strong focus on advanced logic/RF devices.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include technical leadership, project steering, and foundry coordination for new technology introduction and transfers.

• Collaborate with foundries and internal teams to qualify and release advanced FinFET processes.
• Provide device-physics expertise on FinFET and HKMG architectures to meet performance and yield targets.
• Lead NTI and process transfer projects: planning, execution, and decision-making on process integration.
• Interface with stakeholders and suppliers to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.
• Drive yield enhancement through electrical data analysis and corrective actions.
• Support process transfers within foundries and NXP joint ventures.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, hands-on experience, leadership, and language capability.

• Minimum 10 years in semiconductor device engineering focused on advanced logic/RF devices.
• Proven hands-on experience with HKMG and FinFET technologies in production or development environments.
• Deep understanding of semiconductor device physics and HKMG/FinFET behavior.
• Strong analytical skills in yield improvement and electrical data analysis.
• Demonstrated leadership in development, transfer, or ramp-up projects with ability to meet timelines.
• Experience working with foundries and leveraging external manufacturing partners.
• Fluency in spoken Mandarin and strong English communication and influencing skills.
• Proactive, pragmatic, and results-driven mindset.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
