Role Summary

The Sr. Principal Engineer, Validation will redefine automotive-grade silicon quality by driving first-time-right silicon and eliminating customer escapes while setting industry benchmarks for validation excellence.

Experience Level

Senior, requiring 18+ years of experience in semiconductor validation and senior technical leadership roles.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include:

• Define and own the end-to-end silicon validation strategy for automotive and HPC SoCs.
• Ensure first-time-right silicon and robust validation coverage.
• Lead global validation teams for silicon bring-up and validation.
• Establish a System Use Case Validation Program.
• Influence SoC architecture and program decisions with validation insights.
• Drive shift-left validation as a measurable engineering program.
• Implement an escape-prevention strategy.
• Build and scale high-performing validation organizations.
• Lead automation and infrastructure modernization.
• Establish validation methodologies and benchmarks.
• Identify and mitigate technical and program risks early.
• Provide executive-level reporting on validation statuses.
• Act as a trusted partner to multiple engineering disciplines.
• Adopt industry best practices as a measurable program.

Requirements

The following skills and experiences are required:

• B.E./B. Tech or M.E./M. Tech in a relevant field.
• 18+ years in semiconductor validation with ownership of silicon quality outcomes.
• 3+ years in senior technical leadership roles.
• Strong domain expertise in automotive SoC validation.
• Experience delivering complex SoC programs.
• Deep understanding of silicon validation flows.
• Create automation-first validation frameworks using languages like Python or C++.
• Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with AI frameworks for validation efficiency.

Education Requirements

B.E./B. Tech or M.E./M. Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
