Experience Level

Senior β€” 5–8 years of experience in application engineering, hardware design, or power electronics.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Design and develop reference designs, evaluation boards, and application hardware using discrete, analog, and power ICs.
  • Create schematics, select components, and collaborate on PCB layout to optimize performance, thermal management, reliability, and cost.
  • Perform electrical, thermal, and system-level validation: efficiency analysis, switching characterization, transient response testing, thermal profiling, and EMI/EMC pre-compliance evaluation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to hardware designs and applications.
  • Support customers and sales through design-in activities, technical consultations, and application-focused problem solving.
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, workshops, and industry events.

  • 5–8 years in application engineering, hardware design, or power electronics.
  • Proven experience developing reference designs, evaluation boards, or power electronics hardware solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of SMPS topologies (buck, boost, flyback, LLC, multilevel converters, paralleling, high/low-voltage architectures).
  • Experience with wide-bandgap technologies and power conversion systems.
  • Hands-on PCB design and layout experience (Altium Designer, KiCad, or similar).
  • Familiarity with simulation and analysis tools (MATLAB/Simulink, LTspice, PLECS), thermal analysis, and EMC methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, system-level problem-solving, and technical writing skills; business-fluent English.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in datacenter power applications.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required; Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) preferred.
