Role Summary

The Senior Engineer will develop and maintain parasitic extraction (PEX) components and related design enablement elements within Process Design Kits (PDKs) for GlobalFoundries RF technologies. The role works with cross-functional engineering teams and EDA vendors to ensure PEX models accurately represent fabrication processes and meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include design-component development for PDKs and ensuring PEX quality and automation:

• Develop and maintain Parasitic Extraction (PEX) components as part of Process Design Kits (PDKs) for RF technologies.
• Model and represent semiconductor fabrication processes within PEX solutions to ensure accurate extraction results.
• Collaborate with EDA tool vendors to support PEX development, resolve technical issues, and drive improvements.
• Investigate and resolve customer-reported issues related to PEX PDK components.
• Work with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver PEX solutions that meet customer and business requirements.
• Develop and support automation to improve PEX development, validation, and quality assurance.
• Contribute to development, validation, and enhancement of PEX methodologies, flows, and quality standards.

• Proven ability to work in engineering teams and resolve technical issues.

• Experience in the semiconductor industry, EDA tools, or related engineering fields.
• Experience with Physical Verification, LVS, and/or Parasitic Extraction (PEX) flows.
• Experience collaborating with EDA vendors and developing automation for PDK or PEX workflows.

Education Requirements

University degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
