Role Summary
The Sr Analog Engineer position is part of the CMSD Korea team within Renesas’ Analog & Connectivity organization, focused on developing and industrializing highly configurable mixed-signal products across various applications including consumer electronics, communication, data centers, and automotive.
Experience Level
Senior level position, with expected expertise in analog and mixed-signal design.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Understanding transistor and system-level architecture.
- Ensuring high precision analog block performance across PVT variations.
- Contributing to silicon-proven IP development.
- Collaborating with digital engineers on trimming and control for analog circuits.
- Guiding layout engineers to minimize layout effects.
- Performing hands-on evaluation of IPs using equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Collaborating with test engineering for adequate test coverage.
- Analyzing ATE & CHZ data to validate product specifications.
- Interfacing and supporting various design teams.
- Participating in root cause analysis of performance and functional issues.
- Modeling analog and mixed-signal circuits for top-level testbench.
Requirements
The qualifications for this position include:
- M.D. or Ph.D in Electrical Engineering with experience in semiconductor design using CMOS.
- Strong knowledge in designing and laying out analog and mixed-signal circuits.
- Experience with simulation tools (Cadence, Verilog, Python, etc.).
- Strong background in analog and digital IC design and measurement.
- Excellent communication skills in English and team collaboration.
Education Requirements
M.D. or Ph.D in Electrical Engineering is required.
