Role Summary

The Solutions Staff DFT Engineer will be involved in the development and deployment of cutting-edge silicon lifecycle management (SLM) solutions, particularly focusing on MBIST and related methodologies. You will be responsible for translating customer requirements into factory workflows, guiding product validation processes, and ensuring successful product integration with clients.

Experience Level

This position requires a seasoned engineer with a minimum of 8 years of practical experience in RTL and gate-level design and verification, specifically in the areas of MBIST, JTAG, and iJTAG. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of DFT methodologies and protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with R&D teams to develop comprehensive solutions for SLM.
  • Engage with customers to gather detailed requirements and enable effective R&D product development.
  • Validate end-to-end solutions prior to shipment and within customer environments.
  • Oversee the deployment of SLM solutions in customer projects while ensuring smooth operational execution.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of Synopsys' SLM IP portfolio, focusing on multi-die domains.
  • Drive the adoption of SLM solutions in key markets and influence future IP development.

Requirements

The candidate must have a BSEE/MSEE and extensive experience working with DFT methodologies. Candidates should also possess:

  • Expertise in RTL and gate-level design and verification involving MBIST.
  • Familiarity with JTAG (IEEE 1149.1 and IEEE 1687/1500) and DFT protocols.
  • Automation skills using TCL; Python knowledge is a bonus.
  • Ability to address technical suggestions from customers and collaborate with cross-functional teams for optimal solutions.
  • Customer-facing experience is advantageous.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
