Role Summary
As a Software Engineer II on the Automotive Solutions team you will develop and test object-oriented C++ applications for Functional Safety analysis. You will work with an international Agile engineering team delivering safety solutions aligned with ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 for Automotive/ADAS customers.
Experience Level
Mid-level — Software Engineer II. Minimum ~2 years of development experience expected.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and test maintainable C++ software for safety analysis tools.
- Contribute to the definition and refinement of product and safety requirements.
- Integrate Functional Safety practices into the EDA workflow per applicable standards.
- Work within CI/CD and version-control processes across Windows and Linux platforms.
- Explore and apply modern AI technologies, including LLM-based agents, to accelerate development.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- At least 2 years of development experience in C/C++ environments.
- Strong object-oriented design and design-pattern knowledge.
- Experience with version control systems (Git, Perforce, SVN), issue tracking tools (JIRA), and CI/CD DevOps practices in cross-platform development (Windows and Linux).
- Familiarity with scripting or other programming languages such as Python or TCL.
- Good written and spoken English and Portuguese; strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work across disciplines, learn quickly, and contribute within a team.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with the Qt framework.
- Previous experience leading a software development team.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs for desktop applications.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
