Role Summary

Join the Hardware-Assisted Verification Division within Siemens Digital Industries Software's FPGA-based prototyping R&D team. The role focuses on designing, developing, and debugging software for the Veloce proFPGA prototyping platform.

Experience Level

Entry-level — junior engineer working under close supervision; supports senior engineers and contributes to product delivery.

Responsibilities

Work on software development, validation, and integration for FPGA-based prototyping systems.

  • Design, develop, modify, and implement software components for the Veloce proFPGA platform.
  • Develop low-level validation and verification software for components.
  • Integrate system components in coordination with hardware and software teams.
  • Debug RTL designs and simulations to support prototype validation.
  • Help ensure functional quality of product releases across target platforms.
  • Use version control and collaborate in multi-team environments.

Requirements

Technical skills and tools required to perform the role.

Must-have:

  • Proficient in C++, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
  • Experience with HDL: VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
  • Hands-on FPGA design experience and familiarity with FPGA toolchains (e.g., Vivado, Quartus) and static timing analysis.
  • Strong RTL debugging and simulation skills.
  • Familiarity with Linux and scripting (TCL, Bash, Python).
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git, Perforce, or SVN.
  • Fluent in English.

Nice-to-have:

  • Prior work on prototyping platforms or hardware-assisted verification projects.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
