Role Summary
The HPS Design Verification Team is responsible for validating the processor subsystem of Altera FPGA products. As a SoC Design Verification Engineer, you will perform functional logic verification for integrated SoCs and develop verification plans and environments.
Experience Level
Senior; 7+ years of experience in logical hardware design and verification is required.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing functional logic verification of SoCs to ensure design meets specifications.
- Defining and developing scalable and reusable verification plans, test benches, and environments.
- Executing verification plans and running emulation and system simulation models.
- Debugging issues in the pre-silicon environment.
- Collaborating with various teams to improve verification processes.
- Documenting test plans and conducting technical reviews.
- Incorporating security activities within test plans.
- Maintaining and improving existing functional verification infrastructure.
- Updating test plans based on post-silicon learnings.
Requirements
Essential qualifications include:
- 7+ years of experience in logical hardware design and verification.
- Proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM hardware descriptive languages.
- Experience with full hardware design lifecycle.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or related field.
Preferred qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in the field.
- Strong background in Design for Debug verification and ARM Coresight debugger verification.
- Programming skills in C++, Java, and scripting in Python, Perl, and Tcl.
- Experience with AI techniques in design and verification.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or similarly related fields.
