Role Summary
As a Silicon System Validation Engineer at Meta, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating complex silicon systems, including ASICs and SOCs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality silicon solutions.
Experience Level
Senior level with at least 8 years of hands-on experience in silicon validation.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the development, execution, and sign-off of System-on-Chip (SoC) and end-to-end system validation plans.
- Identify and communicate technical risks related to silicon validation projects.
- Plan, organize, and oversee silicon bring-up and validation activities across multiple SoCs.
- Execute and coordinate test and debug activities with cross-functional and plug-and-play teams.
- Lead laboratory debug activities and failure reporting across multiple domains or projects.
- Collaborate with architecture, intellectual property (IP), firmware, electrical engineering, and product engineering teams.
- Work in an agile environment to adapt validation plans based on changes.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
- 8+ years of experience in the validation of complex System-on-Chip (SoC) components.
- Proficiency in high-speed protocols such as MIPI, PCIe, USB, and DDR.
- Experience with laboratory equipment like oscilloscopes and protocol analyzers.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Knowledge of ASIC design flow and silicon foundry test flow.
- Experience with pre-silicon validation platforms.
- Ability to integrate AI tools into workflows.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
