Silicon Design Engineer

Role Summary

The Silicon Design Engineer will work within the PCIe SubSystem team to deliver high-performance interconnects IP for AMD products, including dGPU, APU, Server, and Game consoles. This role focuses on advanced PCIe technology and involves collaboration with a global team on PCIe SS IP Verification.

Experience Level

Senior level with 8+ years of experience in ASIC design verification.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

• Developing and updating infrastructure and environment for IP level design verification.
• Collaborating closely with the Design and Architecture team to develop new verification components.
• Managing the PCIe SS IP new features verification plan and ensuring verification closure.

Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Solid background in ASIC design verification flow and multiple ASIC tape-out experience.
• Team leading experience and expertise in testbench architecture.
• In-depth knowledge of UVM, SystemVerilog, and Verilog are mandatory.
• Experience with PCIe and other high-speed I/O protocols or Serdes PHY is a plus.
• Low power verification experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of formal verification is beneficial.
• Fluent written English for technical discussions is required; verbal skills are a plus.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years’ experience in digital ASIC/SOC design verification.
