Signal Integrity Engineer
Role Summary
Join Broadcom's ASIC Products Division to develop SI/PI solutions for parallel high-speed interfaces across ASIC, package, interposer, and PCB domains. The role supports customer products and internal R&D, focusing on modeling, simulation, and sign-off for MCM, 2.5D, and 3D interconnects.

Responsibilities
Key technical and delivery responsibilities:
- Perform mask-based timing sign-off using time-domain simulations (SPICE and similar) for parallel interfaces, including 2.5D and 3D designs.
- Perform electromagnetic extraction and modeling of signal and power-delivery channels across PCB, package, and interposer domains.
- Perform AC and transient analysis of power distribution networks (PDN) and IO channel analysis.
- Develop pre-layout models for transceivers and for signal and PDN networks.
- Automate sign-off processes; collaborate with EDA vendors to improve tool accuracy and analysis flows.
- Produce analysis deliverables: reports, presentations, and sign-off documentation; support pre-sales and customer interactions as required.
Requirements
Primary skills and attributes required (must-have vs. nice-to-have):
- Must-have: Experience with at least one DDR/LPDDR and/or HBM SI/PI sign-off flow tool suite.
- Must-have: Proficiency with time-domain simulation tools (SPICE or equivalent) and electromagnetic extraction/modeling workflows.
- Must-have: Experience with PDN analysis and IO channel characterization; familiarity with IC, package, and PCB database formats.
- Must-have: Scripting skills (TCL, Python) to automate routine tasks and sign-off flows.
- Must-have: Ability to manage multiple customers and projects across global teams under tight timelines; effective documentation and presentation skills.
- Nice-to-have: Hands-on experience with MCM, 2.5D, and 3D interconnect technologies and working directly with manufacturing partners or EDA tool development teams.
