Job Title

Signal Integrity Engineer

Role Summary

Design and evaluate analog and mixed-signal circuitry and system-level signal and power delivery for high-speed computing products in the Data Center Group. Work with board and system teams to model, simulate and validate signal integrity, power integrity and electromagnetic behavior across chip, board and system levels.

Role requires collaboration with cross-functional hardware, board and vendor teams to deliver reliable high-speed interfaces and power delivery for server and accelerator platforms.

Experience Level

Senior — typically 10 to 15 years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include modeling, simulation, testing and cross-team integration work to ensure signal and power integrity at the system level.

  • Design and evaluate analog/mixed-signal circuits and system-level signal/power delivery.
  • Model and analyze power delivery networks and impedance profiles across chip, board and system levels.
  • Perform electromagnetic and signal integrity simulations and extract parameters for board and system designs.
  • Plan and execute experiments and lab measurements; analyze results and iterate designs.
  • Collaborate with board/system designers and vendors to select components and ensure manufacturability and reliability.
  • Support high-speed interface validation (e.g., DDR, PCIe, USB3) and low-power methodologies.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, tools and professional attributes.

  • Strong electrical and electromagnetic fundamentals; strong signal and power integrity expertise.
  • Experience with power delivery modeling and complete system-level power delivery analysis.
  • Knowledge of system/board design and manufacturing/process interactions.
  • Experience with high-speed interfaces such as DDR, PCIe, USB3 and related validation.
  • Proficiency with 2D/3D EM and circuit simulation tools (examples: HFSS, Q3D, ADS, HSpice, PowerDC).
  • Practical lab experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, network analyzers and related test equipment.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in teams.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with SiGe/GaAs processes or other RF/mixed-signal process technologies.

Education Requirements

Must have a BE or MS in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering. Posting specifies 10–15 years of industry experience alongside these degrees.
