Senior Verification Engineer - Hardware

Role Summary

Join NVIDIA's automotive verification team to develop verification environments and strategies for Tegra automotive chips. The role focuses on verifying CPU and memory sub-systems, interconnect fabrics, high-speed I/Os and other complex IPs and subsystems.

Senior β€” typically requires 4+ years of verification experience for complex units, sub-systems, or SoCs.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include designing and executing verification plans and building reusable verification infrastructure.

  • Architect UVM-based testbenches and verification environments.
  • Define test plans and verification infrastructure for modules, clusters and system-level verification.
  • Develop bus functional models, monitors, checkers and scoreboards for reusable verification assets.
  • Implement functional coverage and drive verification closure.
  • Perform system-level verification using C/C++ where required.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, FPGA and post-silicon teams to ensure robustness and closure.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, tools experience, and interpersonal capabilities.

  • Proven experience driving verification closure of complex unit, sub-system, or SoC designs.
  • Experience with UVM (or VMM) methodology and industry-standard simulation and debug tools.
  • Ability to design and implement BFMs, monitors, checkers and scoreboards.
  • System-level verification experience (C/C++) and strong debugging and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills; ability to work in cross-cultural and matrixed teams.
  • Nice-to-have: exposure to formal verification methods.
  • Nice-to-have: domain experience in CPU, memory controller, interconnect, high-speed I/Os (UFS/PCIe/XUSB), Ethernet MAC/switch, AXI/APB protocols, and system functions such as Safety, Security, and Virtualization.

Education Requirements

BTech or MTech (engineering) is specified; the posting indicates a preference for candidates with these degrees and ~4+ years of relevant verification experience.
