Role Summary

The Senior Verification Architect role within Advanced Micro Devices is primarily focused on developing and implementing verification methodologies and technologies in collaboration with global teams. The position involves hands-on technical responsibilities that will support the hardware design verification processes for an array of AMD’s products.

Experience Level

This position is suitable for candidates with over 7 years of experience in ASIC verification, digital design, and processor architecture.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include:

  • Contributing hands-on to design verification and developing testbenches.
  • Offering expertise in UVM-based testbenches and verification methodologies.
  • Driving process improvements in SOC/IP verification and related methodologies.
  • Employing debugging skills with standard verification tools.
  • Participating in defining verification methodologies, tools, and flows for AMD's products.
  • Performing simulation performance analysis to enhance verification efficiency.

Requirements

The ideal candidate must have:
- Proficiency in hardware description languages (Verilog, SystemVerilog), and programming languages (C, C++).
- Experience with IP level ASIC verification and debugging firmware/RTL code.
- Familiarity with testbench architectures and UVM concepts.
- Knowledge of verification management tools and common scripting languages (Perl, Ruby, Makefile, shell).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Team collaborative experience across different locations and time zones.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
