Role Summary
Join the Radar Validation team in Hamburg to validate Radar SoC performance across digital, analog and high-frequency domains. The role focuses on defining and executing lab test plans, developing automation for validation, debugging IC issues in the lab, and collaborating with Design and Verification teams.
The position also supports customer design-in efforts and may include security-related tasks requiring reliable, controlled processes.
Experience Level
Senior — minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Perform Radar SoC validation and analyze CMOS circuit performance in digital, analog and high-frequency domains.
- Translate requirements into clear test specifications and implement them as laboratory test programs.
- Execute lab measurements, debug IC issues, and provide fast responses to failures and customer complaints.
- Support customer design-in activities and handle customer feedback.
- Close the loop from current SoC performance to potential improvements for next-generation Radar designs.
- Develop and enhance automation frameworks and validation software for efficient lab workflows and data analysis.
- Work cross-functionally with Design and Verification teams to develop validation plans and drive issue resolution.
- Comply with security-related requirements and procedures as needed for certified environments.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Minimum ~3 years in a similar validation, test, or lab role.
- Experience with both software and hardware debugging in a lab environment.
- Solid understanding of radar systems and mmWave/high-frequency RF technologies.
- Programming experience for lab automation and data analysis (LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python).
- Hands-on laboratory measurement and IC debug experience.
- Knowledge of IC design fundamentals and semiconductor test/manufacturing basics.
- Structured problem-solving, analytical mindset, and a quality-oriented approach.
- Strong communication skills and fluent English.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience mentoring or supporting team members and sharing technical knowledge.
- Interest in growing technical responsibility beyond individual contributor tasks.
Education Requirements
M.Sc. degree or PhD (preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a similar technical field.
