Role Summary
The role involves performance verification for world-class custom CPUs designed for mobile and portable computers. The engineer will collaborate with design and performance teams to develop test cases and validate new features, ensuring efficient performance between RTL and model.
Experience Level
Senior level with a minimum of 4 years of experience in ASIC design, verification, validation, or related fields. A Master's degree is preferred with at least 3 years of experience, or a PhD with 2 years of experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Perform performance verification for CPU architecture aspects such as fetch, decode, branch prediction, and others.
- Verify performance features and troubleshoot performance discrepancies between RTL and model.
- Work with design and performance teams to create test cases and validate new features.
Requirements
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years, or PhD with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge in CPU architecture and micro-architecture.
- Experience with RTL simulations and performance modeling environments.
- Proficiency in Verilog, C, C++, and scripting languages (Perl or Python).
- Ability to problem-solve and validate personal ideas.
- Experience with common performance benchmarks and workloads.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field.
