Senior Test Equipment Engineer
Role Summary
The Senior Test Equipment Engineer owns test-equipment strategy, reliability, automation and continuous-improvement projects that improve productivity, quality and profitability in a semiconductor test environment. This role leads technical troubleshooting, drives equipment-level process improvements, and implements automation and integration to reduce downtime and boost OEE.

Responsibilities
The role requires technical ownership of test equipment performance, maintenance strategy, and project delivery to support high-volume manufacturing.
- Own equipment strategy, reliability, automation and projects that impact productivity and profitability.
- Minimize downtime and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) across test operations.
- Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for equipment failures and abnormal production issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance yield, reliability, and process efficiency.
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance strategies, procedures and technical documentation.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency through software, scripting and equipment integration.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience relevant to semiconductor test equipment and manufacturing.
- Proven troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills in semiconductor test equipment or manufacturing environments.
- Experience with equipment maintenance, failure analysis and process improvement activities.
- Good understanding of OEE, MTBA, quality and yield improvement concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with ATE testers, handlers, or load boards.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Advantest M4841 handler and Teradyne J750 tester.
- Familiarity with SPC, FMEA, 5-Why and other problem-solving tools.
- Experience with Spotfire, Power BI or RPA (Robotic Process Automation).
- Experience in NPI and equipment qualification.
- Familiarity with automation and robot arm integration.
- Leadership or mentoring experience.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or another related engineering field.
