Senior Staff Validation Engineer
Role Summary
The Senior Staff Validation Engineer will be responsible for designing and executing post-silicon validation tests for SSD Chipsets, contributing to R&D processes. The engineer will develop, port, and execute bare metal software to validate Storage SoCs, and will be involved in pre and post-silicon testing, including performance characterization and technical support for application and test engineers.
Experience Level
Senior level, requiring 10+ years of experience in a related field.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include:
- Designing and executing post-silicon validation tests for SSD Chipsets.
- Developing and executing bare metal software for Storage SoC validation.
- Conducting pre and post-silicon testing and power/performance characterization.
- Preparing test plans and documentation for test results.
- Developing testing and benchmarking applications.
- Analyzing test results and generating validation reports.
- Providing technical support to Field Application Engineers and Test Engineers.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of hardware validation/application engineering experience, specifically with Solid State Drives.
- Proficient in C/C++, Arm Assembly, and 64-bit Arm CPU architecture.
- Experience in Firmware Development under Bare Metal/Linux Environment.
- Understanding of SSD controllers is preferred.
- Experience in interfaces like NAND/PCIe/NVMe/DDR is a plus.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering, or a related field.
