Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include verification planning, test development, debugging, and tool development for scalable SoC verification:

  • Develop and maintain verification environment: reference models, BFMs, drivers, and testbench components.
  • Create verification test plans using constrained-random techniques and coverage analysis.
  • Develop, tune, and run tests to meet coverage goals; debug failures and work with designers to resolve issues.
  • Verify firmware/boot code and integrate hardware–software verification flows.
  • Architect, develop, and maintain software tools to streamline SoC and multi-core design verification in parallel compute environments.
  • Perform unit and regression testing of verification tools and environments.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, behaviors, and qualifications:

  • Strong background in SoC verification and testbench development using UVM and SystemVerilog.
  • Proficient in C/C++ and SystemVerilog DPI for testbench–software interaction.

  • Excellent debugging, data analysis, and problem-definition skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills; able to collaborate with designers and stakeholders.
  • Experience building and scaling software tools for verification and automation.
  • May require eligibility to access export-controlled technology; non-U.S. applicants may be subject to export license review.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred; a Master’s or PhD in these fields is also acceptable. The posting cites 5–10+ years of relevant experience for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree, or 3–5+ years for candidates with a Master’s/PhD. Equivalent practical experience may be considered.
