Senior Staff Silicon Design Engineer

Role Overview

The Senior Staff Silicon Design Engineer will engage in the development of next-generation AMD microprocessors that power various devices such as gaming consoles, servers, personal computers, and graphics cards. This position emphasizes design and verification processes crucial for ensuring performance and power efficiency in ASIC and SoC designs.

Experience Level

This position is intended for candidates with a solid background in silicon design, ideally with over 5 years of relevant experience in ASIC/SOC design verification.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Utilize current functional verification techniques to enhance pre-silicon IP verification quality and accelerate product time to market.
• Participate in the creation and porting of the design verification (DV) environment while developing block and IP level test plans.
• Conduct coverage analysis and regression cleanup, and provide technical guidance to team members on various DV tasks.
• Independently manage DV tasks and potentially lead larger cross-team initiatives.

Requirements

Candidates are expected to possess analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong communication and leadership skills. They should be able to manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Engineering is required.
