Role Summary

Synopsys is seeking a Senior Staff R&D Engineer for their advanced DFT team. This role focuses on enhancing Streaming Fabric (SF) and SEQ technologies that are part of the TestMAX product family.

Experience Level

Senior level with a Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

This position includes various responsibilities across the DFT flow:

• Contribute across the entire DFT flow: RTL, netlist, ATPG, and logic simulation.
• Analyze DFT IP behavior, debug logic issues, and deliver robust fixes.
• Enhance pattern-generation workflows for improved performance and quality of results (QoR).
• Develop C/C++ components for pattern processing, automation, and data handling.
• Collaborate with multi-site R&D teams to ensure smooth flow integration.
• Utilize AI-based tools to enhance debugging, code comprehension, and analysis.

Requirements

Core requirements include:

• Strong understanding of DFT, scan architectures, and test-generation concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Verilog and logic-simulation debugging.
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
• Ability to work effectively within large-scale SoC hardware and complex software environments.
• Strong analytical and root-cause-debugging skills.
• Openness to using AI tools to improve productivity.

Education Requirements

Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
