Role Summary

The Senior Staff R&D Engineer will be responsible for designing and delivering software solutions for physical layout automation, specifically in advanced packaging and multi-die systems at Synopsys. This role involves collaboration with global teams to contribute to the development of industry-leading electronic design automation (EDA) tools.

Senior level, requiring 8+ years of professional software development experience.

Responsibilities

Requirements

Mandatory qualifications include:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

• Strong proficiency in C++ and solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Experience with computational geometry.
• Proficient in Linux with scripting languages such as Tcl or Perl preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Education Requirements

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is required.
