Role Summary

The Senior Staff Engineer for SOC Design Verification will be part of the DRAM Development Lab (DDL) at Samsung Semiconductor, focusing on enhancing memory and storage capabilities through the development of prototype and production controllers.

This role includes a daily onsite presence at the San Jose for Folsom office, contributing to the verification of modules and subsystems of AI accelerators.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Participating in verification strategy and methodology definitions.
  • Contributing to micro architecture specification and reviews.
  • Verifying modules and subsystems of AI accelerators.
  • Architecting test benches, creating test plans, and implementing components in UVM.
  • Executing verification per plan to closure.
  • Working closely with architects and design engineers to define verification requirements and achieve functional and code coverage targets.
  • Providing support in post silicon bring up and debug.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer Science or related field with 15+ years of experience, a Master's degree with 13+ years, or a PhD with 10+ years of industry experience in ASIC Verification.
  • Strong expertise in UVM and experience in ASIC verification processes.
  • Proficient in C++ and SystemVerilog programming.
  • Good understanding of verification flows and tools.
  • Experience with UCIe, HBM controller, and Memory DFT.
  • Exposure to DDR and Custom HBM verification preferred.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
