Senior Staff Engineer, Design Verification

Role Summary

The Senior Staff Engineer for Design Verification will work within the AGI Computing Lab, focusing on developing scalable platforms for AI/ML workloads. This role involves collaboration with hardware and software engineers to tackle complex system-level challenges and ensure high verification quality.

Experience Level

Senior-level position; requires 10 to 15+ years of industry experience depending on educational background.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing verification infrastructure and automation for simulations and regressions.
• Leading verification efforts for IP blocks of an AI accelerator.
• Creating test plans for functional and performance validation.
• Documenting verification strategies and ensuring usability of the test environment.
• Mentoring junior engineers when necessary.
• Collaborating with multiple teams to debug failures.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree with 15+ years, Master’s with 13+ years, or PhD with 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong background in SoC or IP verification and test bench development using UVM, System Verilog, and scripting languages such as Perl/Python.
• Experience verifying at various logic levels from complex IPs to full systems.
• Understanding of RTL and excellent debugging skills.

Nice-to-have skills:

• Experience with computational logic and memory systems.
• Knowledge of FPGA and emulation platforms.
• Strong analytical skills and adaptability in team settings.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in a relevant field, with varying years of experience required based on degree level.
