Role Summary
The Senior Staff Engineer - Analog IC Design will work within the Central Engineering business group at Marvell, focusing on high-speed and high-performance Analog SerDes development within advanced technology nodes. This role provides the opportunity to contribute significantly while having the support of a small specialized analog team.
Experience Level
Senior; requires 8+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities for this role include:
- Working on high-speed and high-performance Analog SerDes development.
- Participating in SerDes Architecture Development with DSP, Analog, and Digital design teams.
- Interacting closely with layout engineers to achieve required circuit performance.
- Working with the AE for the IP characterization and validation plan.
- Supporting IP Lab characterization and debugging.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience include:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related fields with 8+ years of experience or a Master's degree/PhD with 6+ years of experience.
- In-depth understanding of transistor-level CMOS analog circuit design and related building blocks.
- Experience in implementing Serial link building blocks and clock path circuits.
- Knowledge of resonant clocking and inductor-based circuits is a plus.
- Experience in optimizing FinFET CMOS layout.
- Knowledge in Verilog-A for analog behavioral modeling.
- Strong communication skills and a drive for continuous learning.
Education Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field is required. Master’s degree or PhD preferred.
